The Remote Monitoring Leadership Council applauds the House Ways and Means Committee for unanimously advancing the bipartisan Rural Patient Monitoring Access Act (H.R. 3108) by a vote of 39-0. The legislation would help ensure that rural seniors do not have less access to life-saving, technology-enabled care simply because of where they live.
Remote patient monitoring helps clinicians detect changes in a patient’s condition earlier, adjust treatment plans, and prevent avoidable hospitalizations. Evidence shows that RPM can improve outcomes for patients with chronic conditions while generating meaningful savings for Medicare and taxpayers.
The Council urges the full House of Representatives to build on the Committee’s strong bipartisan action and swiftly pass H.R. 3108.
