DIGITAL HEALTH CEOs LAUNCH COUNCIL TO ADVANCE TECH-ENABLED CARE
Council will shape the future for high-quality remote patient monitoring (RPM)
WASHINGTON, May 14, 2025 — Today, leading digital health companies announced the creation of the Remote Monitoring Leadership Council (“the Council”), a new alliance of innovative companies that are transforming how care is delivered across all 50 states. The Council’s mission is to use technology to improve outcomes and lower costs – at scale. The Council will advocate for broader access to RPM, elevate the standard of care in the U.S through high-quality RPM, and partner with policymakers to share data, outcomes, and accelerate adoption.
This tech-enabled care is aligned with the goals of the current Administration – addressing chronic disease, driving cost savings, and empowering patients. RPM allows practitioners to keep patients healthier and out of the hospital by monitoring and proactively managing care in response to changes in vitals. RPM technology allows for a care team to better support patients outside of office visits, and gives patients more ownership of their health.
A proven clinical solution, RPM, is driving positive results in chronic disease management, post-acute care, and patient self-management. Peer-reviewed studies show reduced medical spending and improved clinical outcomes. A recent study showed annual savings of $1,308 per-senior in Medicare with heart failure, hypertension, or type 2 diabetes.
Today, the Council is in Washington D.C. meeting with Trump Administration officials and Congress on opportunities to strengthen this cost-saving, tech-enabled care. RPM services were first enabled by the Trump Administration in 2019 and have shown strong clinical outcomes for seniors since. Additional leadership is needed to make sure RPM is able to drive a healthier America, additional cost-savings for taxpayers, and patients empowered by their own data.
Founding members include Best Buy Health, BioIntelliSense, Cadence, CoachCare, CopilotIQ/Bioformis, HealthSnap, and Impilo. Membership in the Council is reserved for organizations committed to upholding the Principles for High-Quality Remote Patient Monitoring and advocating for high-quality remote monitoring and care management.
