Join hundreds of stakeholders in a national advocacy effort throughout the public comment period to protect patient access, preserve responsible innovation, and ensure CMS understands the real-world impact of its proposals on remote monitoring programs. Our goal is to ensure CMS does not finalize these proposals as written.
The Remote Monitoring Leadership Council is urging CMS not to finalize the proposed policies as written. At a minimum, CMS should delay the staffing and payment changes and work with patients, providers, and other stakeholders to establish practical program-integrity standards that protect beneficiaries without eliminating effective models of care.
The Remote Monitoring Leadership Council supports rigorous oversight, clinical accountability, transparent data collection, and enforceable standards for remote physiologic monitoring and remote therapeutic monitoring.
CMS should address fraud, waste, and abuse through targeted guardrails that distinguish clinically integrated remote monitoring programs from inappropriate or abusive practices. However, the proposed policies would go far beyond targeted oversight. If finalized as written, they could dismantle established RPM and RTM programs, restrict access to clinically integrated partnerships, and disrupt care for approximately one million Medicare beneficiaries.
